Background
The SPNV Aufgabenträgerschaft for the Land Brandenburg sits with the Ministerium für Infrastruktur und Landesplanung (MIL). Joint SPNV coordination with Berlin runs through the Verkehrsverbund Berlin-Brandenburg (VBB); regional fleets are largely operator-financed, the Berlin S-Bahn fleet is procured via a joint Landes-vehicle-pool with Berlin.
